Cooperating with the Facilitator while Protecting Client Rights

On July 6, 2016 in Hong Kong, Donna Ross gave a presentation entitled “Cooperating with the Facilitator while Protecting Client Rights” at a seminar on “Trusting the Process: what does it mean to parties and to counsel in mediation” during the Vis East Moot Foundation’s Young International Mediators Competition held at HKIAC (Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre). Her talk included tips on how counsel can best represent clients in a mediation – as opposed to adversarial proceedings, including when to be cooperative and when to stand your ground based on ethical duties to ensure the best outcome for clients.
